From an F to a B+ to a C-

I got my English essay back, it was graded a C- (because I went way off topic). My Prof said she could've graded it an F because I wrote about the theme of the story, not about a part of the story, but she decided not too (I'll post the essay later). She wanted to give me a B+ but I handed it in late so she went with the C-. Nice lady isn't she, pretty forgiving (honestly, no sarcasm). I also get to rewrite it for Wednesday (not JUST me, we all get a rewrite) so I get a chance to bring the mark up. She did mention that there's no problem at all with my writing style, that "your writing skill is just fine, no problems at all", though I did have a few minor errors, that I can live with. I'm quite boosted by that comment though, she felt the need to keep me after class to tell me that, it's quite a compliment as far as I'm concerned.

Well, now I have to go and have something to eat while killing two hours before Pysch. and Chinese, the later which I don't want to go to. An update on that, I've decided to stay in my Chinese class. I visited the student awards and finance office and the registrar and talked to them about dropping out of Chinese, I made the decision not so much out of academic integrity (I'm more likely to weasel out of the class in all honesty) but out of financial penalty. If I drop the course I'm no longer a full time student in the eyes of Alberta Learning and would have 90 days to pay them back the $1,055 debt relief bursary plus the cost of the course, oh, and I'd loose my medical benefits from the school too. When it all adds up, that's about $2000+. See kids, mom was right, it pays to stay in school.
