RTFM*
Comp. Sci. 2203 (Introduction to computers) hint for computer professionals:I'm into my second month of this course, which is very basic, as the name implies, and I'm struggling. I took a practice mid-term offered by the faculty and I failed, miserably. I talked with my Prof. about it and we figured out that what is tripping me up is that there are answers that are more technically correct or plausible but incorrect because they're not covered in class. My Prof. suggested that when I hear myself going "well technically" to stop myself as that's going to be the wrong answer; instead replace it with "basically is this true?" He asked me to give it a week and re-write the practice exam and see how it goes. Wish me luck.
COLD
Wow, I don't have to tell anyone north of the 49th how cold it is up here lately. -45 with wind chill last week in Calgary, some parts of the country down to -50 or worse. That's a bit nippy. Just a wee bit mind you. I have this pic that was sent to me at work of a purported Smellus employee outside throwing a cup of coffee in the air, just to demonstrate how cold it was out:
