Bonne Année
Happy new year folks. Last night Tavish and I were at my parents place. We had steak & lobster, chocolate fondue, lots of snacks, and even more drink! I don't think I've drunk that much since high school. Granted, that's not a lot.
I had 3 rum & Pepsi, but it's the three shots of straight absinth that gave me a bit of a buzz I wasn't expecting. It was a great time, with friends and family, my boss was there and some friends of my parents... the 6-pack as I like to refer to them. Anyway, it was a blast, we tried a murder mystery towards the end of the evening but I think we all had a bit too much drink and some were a little two tired (or slow) to really get into it right, so that kinda sucked. But hey, overall it was a blast. Thanks for a great holiday season ma! (and dad.)
The night went on, we did the count down, had some champagne (yeah, I had two glasses, but who's counting, the absinth had done me in by that point.)We made long distance phone calls and screamed into the phone, my mom talked to Tavish's parents half tanked in that "Do... you.. understand... me.." type think that people do when talking to others of a different first language. It turned out not to be an issue, My and Tavish's parents agreed, he's spoiled. Ah well, in light of how bad things really could be, and how good they are, aren't we all?
After the murder mystery the party dispersed, Tavish and I crashed downstairs at my parents (I wouldn't even be able to roll down the hill home let alone drive at that point.) The two of us cuddled up and went to sleep all nice and warm, secure in each others arms. That's love.
And a bonus, no hang over, no headache, nothin! Yay! Hope yours was just as good.
